Warranty

1. Warranty Overview

At LaserPecker South Africa, we stand by the quality of our products. In addition to the statutory rights provided under the CPA, we provide the following warranty coverage for products purchased through our official store.

2. Your Legal Rights (CPA Implied Warranty of Quality)

Under section 55 and section 56 of the CPA, every consumer is entitled to receive goods that:

  • Are reasonably suitable for the purposes for which they are ordinarily intended;

  • Are of good quality, in good working order and free of defects;

  • Are durable and usable for a reasonable period of time;

  • Comply with applicable standards or regulations. cfma.co.za+2CGSO+2

If you receive a product that fails to meet these standards (defective, unsafe or fails to perform as intended), you — as the consumer — have the right within six (6) months from delivery to request:

  • Repair of the faulty goods, or

  • Replacement with a similar product, or

  • Full refund of the purchase price. legalex.co.za+2CGSO+2

The choice of remedy (repair, replace or refund) is yours.

This statutory warranty cannot be waived or restricted by any “as-is” or “voetstoots” clause. CGSO+2Barnard Inc.+2

3. Our Express Warranty Coverage

In addition to your statutory rights, LaserPecker South Africa offers the following express warranty, subject to the conditions below:

  • Warranty Period: 12 months from date of original delivery (unless stated otherwise on the product listing or packaging).

  • Covered Defects: Manufacturing defects, hardware malfunctions, material defects under normal use, and failure to operate as per product specifications.

  • What It Covers: Repair or replacement of defective parts, or the entire unit, at no cost — including parts and labour.

Note: This express warranty is offered in addition to your statutory rights under the CPA. It does not replace or limit those rights.

4. Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not apply (and will be void) under the following conditions:

  • Damage or defects caused by misuse, negligence, incorrect use, modifications, abuse, or failure to follow user manuals / safety instructions.

  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic defects not affecting performance, or consumable parts (unless clearly covered in product listing).

  • Products purchased from unauthorized resellers, third-party marketplaces, or outside the official LaserPecker South Africa store.

  • Items disassembled, altered, repaired or modified by anyone other than an authorised LaserPecker technician.

  • Products sold “as-is”, “final sale”, or marked non-returnable / non-warranty in the listing.

5. How to Claim Warranty

To claim warranty, follow these steps:

  1. Contact us via email (support@laserpecker.co.za) or through our contact form with your order number, product name, and a description of the issue. Include clear photos or a video showing the defect or fault.

  2. We will evaluate the issue and, if necessary, provide a return authorisation and instructions. Do not return the product before receiving approval — unauthorised returns may be rejected.

  3. Pack the product securely in original packaging (if possible), include all accessories/manuals, and ship it to the address we provide using a trackable courier service.

  4. Upon receipt, we will inspect the product. If the fault is covered under warranty, we will repair or replace the item at no cost. If repair is not possible, we will replace it or — at your request — give a full refund.

6. Warranty on Repairs

If we repair or replace a defective part under warranty:

  • The replaced part and the repair labour are guaranteed for a further three (3) months from the date of repair (or longer if specified in writing). Labour Guide South Africa+1

  • If the defect recurs or a new defect arises within this period, we will offer a repair, replacement or refund at no cost to you.

7. Consumer Remedies Beyond Warranty

Even if the express warranty expires, you may still have rights under the CPA (common-law or statutory) to claim for latent defects, unsafe goods, or failure of durable quality — subject to applicable limitation periods under South African law. Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr+1

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, loss of business, or data losses) arising from product use.

  • Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price paid by you for the affected product.

These limitations do not exclude or limit your rights under the CPA where statutory rights cannot be waived.

9. Product Safety & Usage Instructions

Products may include risks if used incorrectly. It is your responsibility to strictly follow all safety instructions, manuals, and warnings provided.

Any damage or defects resulting from misuse, neglect, or failure to follow instructions will void warranty.

10. Changes to Warranty Policy

We may update this Warranty Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our site or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
